Last Sunday, May 11 2014, I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day :) It brings tears of joy to my eyes to type that. Jason and I have been praying and dreaming about this happening and it's with thankful hearts we can say that we'll be parents at the end of Nov! (hopefully baby doesn't  think she/he can come late and make an appearance in Dec.)
We actually celebrated Mother's Day the Saturday before. We had a delicious brunch at the Fremont's with the Smidt's. On the way home we went and bought some flowers for our planter and got a few treasures at The Apron Chicks. Jason then took me out to eat that evening in Downtown Stillwater (eating has suddenly become more important to me in the last 12 weeks). It was a beautiful day so we got sit outside while we ate. We ended the evening with Sleepless In Seattle. It was a perfect Mother's Day... but next year's will be better. We'll have an almost 6 month old to help us celebrate!

Long Time Friends

I was lucky enough to have some visitors early last month (wow.. it's May already?)! My two dear friends, and cousins, Holly and Lindy! We grew up together in Montana and have lived on opposite sides of the country since college. Lindy and I were in the same class K-7th (then she started home schooling in 8th ) and Holly was only one grade ahead of us. When you go to a two-room school house for as many years as we did together, you have lots of memories together! Like our flips on the swings, track and field day, Lindy eating lunch so slow that we would all miss our recess as we waited for her, painting the "B", school plays, graduations, birthday parties, going to get the school mail, 4-square, and so on they go. I suppose everyone has memories like these, but it's a bit different when the setting was as unique as Bloomfield. Here is a cute little picture of us :) Holly is in the middle, Lindy to the far side, and I am in purple (of course!).

Holly and Lindy flew in on a snowy April evening. I'm so thankful that their flight wasn't delayed or cancelled due to the snow. It was fun to bring them home and for them to have a chance to get to know Jason better. The only time they met was at our wedding. The first day they were here we hung out in Downtown Stillwater a bit and had lunch at Tin Bins. Excellent little breakfast/lunch place if you haven't been! That evening I was hosting Monica's jewelry training party so I put my guests to work helping me get the place ready! It was a fun evening and a good little jump start for Monica on her new business :)

The rest of the weekend we spent in Taylor Falls and Grand Ave and got to spend some time over at Marshall and LuAnn's (more cousins of ours). It was a quick weekend, but it was so good to be with them again!

Here is a pic from their visit:

    Megan Fremont

I'm a Christian. I'm a wife to a wonderful man and a mother to a sweet little girl and a handsome little man. I've lived in MT, MN, KS, CA, N.Z., I like to travel. I love dark chocolate and coffee. I grew up on a farm and never learned to drive stick, I went to a two-room school house for nine years, I love Fall in MN (except for the fact I'm always cold), I miss the Montana Sky, and I'm new to blogging.

    Jason Fremont
From "farm town" USA. Lover of the Word of God and all things sports. Twins and Vikings enthusiast, even when it makes him cry. Appreciates a good back tickle. Enjoys his wife's homemade pizza and wonders how he survived so long without her. He is also a wonderful father to a little girl that just adores him and a little man that will one day be just like his daddy.
