We got the biggest snow storm in two years this past weekend with the promise of even more snow to come this weekend.
Snow is cold, it breaks tree branches, it's cold, it takes out power, it's cold, it doubles or triples one's commute due the slick roads and many car accidents, it's cold... it can even take lives.
I took this picture after I backed out of my driveway this morning, the start of my extra-long drive this morning to work, and instead of thinking all the things I usually do as mentioned above, I was reminded of a life that was given (not taken) for me:
"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool" - Isa 1:18
Jason gave me a Christmas present early! On Sunday he took me to the Lorie Line concert! Jason's parents went with us, as Jack got tickets for Becky's birthday. It was so wonderful. This is the second time Jason has taken me to this concert as part of my Christmas gift and I am already looking fwd to when we can go again :)
Husband Jason says he loves winter and all that comes with it. I'm not sure how one could. But then again, I never questioned winter till I moved to the land of eternal summer! The below picture is Jason loving snow BEFORE he shoveled the driveway and me while he was shoveling. One of us loves this winter stuff more than the other:
To sum up: Thank you Lord for your Son and how even snow can be a reminder of your love.
Thank you husband for the early Christmas gift!
