He loves to give me gifts and to surprise me with gifts. Every so often he'll email me at work and will say "I have a surprise for you!" and he won't tell me what it is until he has given it to me. He enjoys giving me gifts as much as I enjoy getting his gifts :) I have it made I think!
In early January, Jason surprised me with a HUGE gift. We got done eating dinner and he went to check his email and I curled up on the couch by the fireplace. He came over to sit by me and turned the computer screen so that I could see it. He had an email open that was a confirmation for a flight to LA. After me telling him "I don't get it" about ten times, he finally told me that he bought me a ticket to go to LA to see my friends and that I leave in 3 weeks! A good friend of mine was due with her first baby and my other good friend I just needed to go see, so this was a very special gift he gave me. Plus, it got me out of below zero temps for a few days. I'll blog later about the trip once I get my pictures downloaded.
What a sweet husband, right?
There is more!
Yesterday he came home with these:
This morning I stumbled down the stairs for breakfast and I found something that I've always wanted... a trail of dark chocolate!
The trail to the right went like this:
Tonight we have a dinner date at The Dock Cafe. It sits right on the river in downtown Stillwater, and was one of the first dates we went on when I first moved to MN. I'm very excited for our date tonight!
This is what I left Jason to find when he gets home. It's not as romantic as what he left me, I really need to work on my gift giving!
I'm pretty sure we have way too many sweets in our house right now, but I'm not going to complain!
The point of this post was just to say how thankful I am for my husband, how I love how he loves to spoil me (what girl wouldn't?), and to say how much I love him. Did I mention that I love him? I do!
Happy Valentines Day!
