I kept putting off the Christmas post as I was wanting to wait till I had my pictures downloaded. Now it's a couple months later and it feels a bit wrong to be posting about Christmas. Although, when I look outside right now it still looks like Christmas. We still have lots of snow and cold. I'm starting to worry that it will permanently be like this!
This year Christmas was in MN. Jason's sister and her family from CA came for a week and a half. It was fun to have them here! Only it was too cold to go out much, and when we did go out to sled (on Christmas day) it was a bit miserable. The swine flu also hit the Fremont's! Jason and I were able to avoid it though!
Christmas day with the Fremont's starts out with opening presents, followed by a nice big breakfast. The rest of the day is just relaxing. The boys went and played boot hockey on the lake while us ladies stayed in and watched a cheesy Christmas movie. Later that afternoon we all went sledding. It was pretty cold by then.. at least it was for Bayley and I! She was all bundled up and had NO interest in sledding. She hunkered down in a sled and had blankets all wrapped around her. In my opinion, she was doing sledding right! In the evening we played a few games and had hor d'oeuves to snack on the whole night.
Sadly, with everyone getting sick at different times, we didn't get pictures of everyone :(
My parents went to New Orleans for Christmas so we got to see them before and after their trip as they flew out of MN. We had our Hostetler Christmas at Monica and Andrew's the Sunday before Christmas. Monica made a wonderful roast for lunch! We pretty much just hung out after exchanging gifts... Here are a few pictures that really sum us up pretty well:
It was a fun Christmas! Even though the weather was pretty bad, I had to work and cover for several people over the Holiday, and my in-laws all got the swine flu. I'm so thankful we have a set day each year to remind us about Jesus' birth and the gift of salvation that brought us!
I have to end this post on this awesome photo:
