Here we are, pictures of 29 weeks on the right and 30 weeks along while I am now 31 weeks on Friday! I honestly never thought we'd get this far along. As much as Jason and I prayed for a baby, and as much as we pray for the Lord to grow her safe and strong in my womb... I'm ashamed to say I had doubts that we would make it this far. That we would get to have baby this far along. I'm finding out that there are many things the Lord puts in our lives that forces us to either go crazy with worry, or to let go of any control we think we have in life and learn to trust Him all over again, or for the first time. Sadly I need this lesson over and over again it seems. Thankfully the God I serve is loving, compassionate, and forgiving. It's comforting to know that God as a perfect plan for our baby girl, no matter what it is. We keep praying for the day we will meet her and we are so excited!

We have been taking a Bradley Method class for the last 7 weeks and we have 3 weeks left. That is making it feel real that the end is in sight! The class has been interesting and the teacher has some interesting views, but it has been very helpful for me. Learning what my body will be doing and what baby should be doing during labor/delivery has made me feel more confident for what is coming. We have also been busy with our house project. We have been living in chaos for the last few weeks, which has been very hard for this pregnant lady. I want to get everything in order but have had to wait, and still need to wait, for work to be finished. Our upstairs now has a new closet for our washer and dryer, we went for four bedrooms upstairs to two, we have a bigger master bedroom, and a brand new closet! Jason is working on getting everything painted (along with his mother, who is very kind to help while we are at work) so we can have our washer/dryer installed on Sunday and then so our new carpet can be put in on Oct 9th. Then we can start on the baby room! I'll post pics of before, during, and after when I am able! I am so thankful for all the hard work Jason has put in with this project to get it started and now almost completed. I'm not able to help with much and he has been so diligent in getting done what we need done when so that the people helping with the remodel can get their work done. Otherwise we have been busy with youth group starting up again at church, Jason's softball, and other random activities that my forgetful brain has forgotten about already. All I can think about is getting baby here! She is moving like crazy tonight, not sure if she is awake or just sleeps like her daddy ;) How fun it will

Here we are, a day away from 28 weeks. Time is flying by! I'm excited to meet baby girl, yet we have so much to do before she comes! Life gets busier and busier, and the more pregnant I get the harder time I have not getting overwhelmed and stressed. It's getting harder and harder for me at work, so thankful that maternity leave is 3 months away! Last weekend we took advantage of a long weekend (Labor Day) and went home to Montana for a few days.. for 2 days to be exact. We got home at 11:30pm Friday night and left late morning Monday. It was good to be home where life slows down just a bit. We had a full day at home! Something we don't get here in MN! On Sunday, church was at EMBC (Eastern Montana Bible Camp) so I got to show Jason where I used to go to camp every summer. Afterwords, we went to another place I loved when I was growing up in Montana. Medora! We walked around the old time town and had dinner before we went to the musical. It was a fun night! Jason said he was very glad we went. It was fun to be home :) But exhausting with all the traveling. Well.. I'm very tired all the time, so I don't know if it was from the traveling alone.. but it did add to it! It was fun to get to see mom and dad, somehow I only got a picture with mom! I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of mom and dad this winter/spring :)
Before we went to Montana I was able to get a few fun things for baby girl's nursery. I so can't wait till we can decorate the room!! Hopefully we will be starting with our house projects soon so we can get to the baby room. We are re-carpeting our upstairs and moving our washer and dryer to the upstairs (I think I've mentioned this before). While we wait for the projects to be started and finished, our formal dining room is filling up with baby stuff! We have a dresser/changing table, decor for the walls, a cradle/bassinet that my grandpa made (and I slept in when I was a baby), and a pack 'n play! Not sure much more can fit in there between the piano and the china cabinet. This evening we started our baby registry! Stephanie came to help, which was good because when she got there we had only registered for 2 things and we were frozen still in the bib and utensil aisle (the first aisle at Buy Buy Baby). Having this done with, or the majority of the registry done with, helps me feel a bit better. Whether or not we will be as totally prepared mentally or have our house just perfect or our registry completely done, Baby Girl will still come when she is ready and we'll have the time of our lives meeting this little girl that's been growing inside of me. She is getting bigger and moving more and moving around things in my that I would prefer she leave alone! I'm feeling more tired, clumsy, forgetful, achey, and well.. fat. I'm so thankful for this girl and so very thankful the Lord has given us this gift of not only a baby but of pregnancy, with all it's aches and pains and uncomfortableness. Can't wait too see and hug and hold this little one! This post is a bit out of order, as this happened a few weekends (or is it months?) ago by now. Jason and I are leaders in our Jr High ministry at church and so we went on the summer camping trip with the kids along with Ryan and Stephanie. This was our third camping trip with the kids as a married couple, and Jason has gone a time or two in the past before we were married. We go to a State Park in Wisconsin that's only 30-40 min away. It's a nice camp site with hiking and waterfalls to enjoy. This year we had perfect weather, unlike last year. It rained most of the time and was cold! Since Stephanie has a newborn, she came for the afternoon on Friday, most of Sat, and met up with us at Nelson's on Sunday. Little Gavin was a trooper and did great on the camping trip that he was apart of! We drive over on Friday midday and immediately set up camp. We have the girls set up their own tent, and the boys set up their own. When we were all set, we went over to the park and the kids swam at the "beach". In the evenings we hang out by the campfire, play games, eat dinner, roast marshmallows, and Jason gave a devotional on serving in the church. Sat we do a lot of hiking around and after lunch we go to the waterfalls. It's a steep walk down, but it's always worth it. The kids jump off "cliffs" into the water, hike up the river, and can walk behind the falls. It's a lot of fun :) Sadly last year I had a migraine so I could hardly function enough to enjoy the falls, this year with being pregnant I didn't want to risk slipping and falling so I sat at the bottom and watched. The kids (and this includes the big kids: Ryan and Jason) had a lot of fun. The next day we pack up and go to the "beach". Ryan gave a devotional the night before and gave another Sunday morning before we head into Stillwater to go to Nelson's for ice cream. Overall it was a successful camping trip. The kids enjoy it a lot as well us leaders. It gives us time to be with the kids outside of the church setting and to get to know them more and for them to get to know us more. Here are a few pics! |
Megan FremontI'm a Christian. I'm a wife to a wonderful man and a mother to a sweet little girl and a handsome little man. I've lived in MT, MN, KS, CA, N.Z., I like to travel. I love dark chocolate and coffee. I grew up on a farm and never learned to drive stick, I went to a two-room school house for nine years, I love Fall in MN (except for the fact I'm always cold), I miss the Montana Sky, and I'm new to blogging.
