Here is a picture from right after we played in fabric paint:
We had a fun 4th at our 4th annual 4th of July party. My parents were in town so Emery got to be spoiled by being with both sets of Grandparents!
Emery and I survived our first Pinterest project together with the help of Auntie Mo. It's a difficult thing, trying to get a 7 month old to make a perfect hand print one a onesie. There were lots giggles and blue paint everywhere. I think we finally got the paint out from under Emery's nails and from her hair! Here is a picture from right after we played in fabric paint: Isn't she a cutie?! We had a fun 4th at our 4th annual 4th of July party. My parents were in town so Emery got to be spoiled by being with both sets of Grandparents! The Cooper's were also here from CA so we had lots of cousin time :) Here is a picture with the cousins and Great Grandma Dorothy and then the second is with Great Grandma June (Emery's Great Grandmas which are Jason's Grandmas). Oh wait.. the second picture does not have Grandma June in it... That's a shame.. it really should have included her! A few weeks ago we took Emery to her first parade! It was a HOT day, but she seemed to enjoy it. We joined Ryan, Stephanie, and the kids for the parade that was near their place. Emery used her sippy cup or the first time! Emery also got her first pontoon ride recently. She was NOT a fan of the life jacket. She would probably rather drink from a bottle than put on that life jacket again... and that's saying a lot! I'll end this post with Emery's 7 month picture! I can't believe out little baby girl is the baby in the below picture. She seems to be growing in leaps and bounds. She sits up like she has been doing it her whole life, can get to giggling so hard, has started solids (not a fan yet), reaches for me, loves to see pictures of herself (who wouldn't want to look at pictures of this sweet baby?!), talks up a storm when she wants, still fake coughs for attention, enjoys being outside whether its to go on a walk or sit on a blanket in the grass to play with toys and watch cars go by, loves sitting in her high chair, and loves her daddy so much.

Wowza! I seem to only update this blog once a month, who knew time could go by as fast as it does?! Our little Emey is now 6 months old! Actually she will be 7 months tomorrow, guess I got this post done just in time ;) She is just a darling. Her little nose and cheeks are too much for me sometimes! In May Monica and I took Emery to Montana. Emery thinks a car seat is the worst form of torture there is... so needless to say it was an interesting drive. The way there we left in the evening so Emery would sleep most of the way and that worked great! The way back we left in the morning and that worked not so great! Poor thing. We all survived though and mom and dad were very excited to have a grandchild at their house for the first time! It was really great for me to be home. It's hard being a mom for the first time without having the support of your own mom being right there. I didn't realize how much I needed a break and rest till I got home. I didn't have to worry about Emery at all, though sadly I did have to have night duty ;) She does NOT like sleeping in a pack n play, but it was very nice having a break in the day. Mom and dad were so great with her. Though they do fight over who gets to hold her :) Dad always has this very proud look when it's his turn with his "little pumpkin". I do wish Jason could have been there though! The days can be long and frustrating as a stay at home mom. I do wish often that more of my friends were here with me instead of being far away! The days can also be fun and full of giggles with a baby like Emery. I'm learning that I need to be careful with how I let myself view my days, as it directly impacts my attitude. It's a joy and a blessing to be a stay at home mom 24/7, and it's what the Lord has for me to do! That is where my mindset needs to be on harder days/weeks.
Emery Kate. She has received a double portion of stubborn genes from her daddy and momma, looks a lot like her daddy, acts a lot like her mommy, and it's so much fun to see her own little personality (though I don't think her personality will be "little" much longer :) coming through. I'll need to catch up on the rest later. Little Boo Bear is up from her nap (or Gummy Bear as Jason calls her! I'll be sad when she has teeth and we lose her gummy smile :). |
Megan FremontI'm a Christian. I'm a wife to a wonderful man and a mother to a sweet little girl and a handsome little man. I've lived in MT, MN, KS, CA, N.Z., I like to travel.
